We recently took a trip to the Sam’s Club bakery and here are some of the seasonal desserts we spotted.
Sam’s Club Bakery Seasonal and Year-Round Desserts:
1. Pumpkin Cream Cheese Cake Roll
Dress up your dessert table with a pumpkin cake roll. This lightly spiced cake is made with real pumpkin puree, has a cream cheese filling, and is topped with powdered sugar. This fall dessert is a favorite of many members and they report buying it from the Sam’s Club bakery year after year.
However, some reviewers mentioned that their Sam’s Club cake was a little dry this year, so check the “Best By” dates when purchasing.
“Everyone in my family enjoyed this roll! It’s definitely more spice cake than pumpkin tasting, but it wasn’t overpowering or unpleasant. The cake was not dry and the cream cheese frosting was nice! Definitely would purchase again. One of the best pumpkin rolls I have bought.” – Alison, Sam’s Club member
2. Pecan Pie
Pie is one of the most popular holiday desserts and Sam’s Club has many varieties. This highly-rated pecan pie is a seasonal favorite and it’s made with real butter and Georgia pecans. If you love a flaky crust with a creamy filling and a crunchy topping of pecans, this pie is right up your alley!
“We will never cook or buy from another place other than Sams for our pecan pie – delicious!” – Lynda, Sam’s Club member
3. Cinnamon Rolls With Cream Cheese Icing
Many Sam’s Club members think that these cinnamon rolls taste very similar to Cinnabon. 😋 They are topped with a thick, cream cheese icing and are rolled with a special Saigon cinnamon. This classic taste evokes the holidays and we love that they can be served warm for breakfast or dessert.
4. Pumpkin Pie
What can we say? We love the price of these Sam’s Club pumpkin pies! 😍 With grocery bills soaring, shoppers need affordable desserts for the holidays and this pie fits the bill. It feeds between 11 – 14 people. Expect a flaky crust and a balanced filling made with 100% pumpkin puree, brown sugar, and spices.
“Best pumpkin pie ever. It has a better taste than pumpkin pies that cost a lot more expensive and twice the size. We try to get one or more each year.” – Barbara, Sam’s Club member
5. Single-Serve New York Cheesecakes
If your crew loves the taste of cheesecake, the Sam’s Club bakery has a treat for you! This assorted cheesecake package has something for everyone. It comes with 8 single-serve cheesecakes in three rich flavors – mixed berry, brownie-topped, and turtle. Decorated to perfection, these decadent Sam’s Club cakes are a worthy addition to any holiday spread.
6. Apple Lattice Pie
Last but definitely not least, is this scrumptious-looking apple pie we saw at the Sam’s Club Bakery. It has a light and flaky crust, a hand-laid lattice, and it’s filled with freshly baked apples. If you want to please your guests with a traditional favorite, give Sam’s apple pie a try. It won the blue ribbon at the 2019 National Pie Championships.
“There is no comparison to Sam’s apple pie even from the better bakeries in our area. The quality of the apples is excellent, the seasoning is just right – not too sweet with mild cinnamon and the lattice crust is lightly crunchy with a light topping of crystallized sugar. My family loves It. It is hands down the best tasting apple pie we have ever had.” – Abi, Sam’s Club member
One Sam’s Club Bakery item you might want to skip…
These lightly spiced pumpkin muffins feature a crumbly cinnamon streusel topping and come in packs of 6. Sounds yummy, right? Don’t get too excited cinnamon fans. Unfortunately, too many customers are complaining that these muffins are WAY too dry and bland. If you can only pick up one bakery item from Sam’s this fall, skip this one. With the lowest rating on the list, these pumpkin streusel muffins may need to stay on the shelf.
