Love Island fans accuse Gemma Owen of being ‘bossy’ towards boyfriend Luca Bish in her recent YouTube vlogs. 

The fishmonger, 23, was accused of misogyny and ‘controlling behaviour’ towards Michael Owen’s daughter, 19, during the ITV show, with viewers even complaining to Ofcom. 

But fans are convinced it’s the other way around on the outside world after seeing clips of her being ‘too authoritative’ when around him.

One clip saw Gemma and Luca get into a heat discussion on whether they enjoy going out or staying in. 

The dressage rider said to the camera: ‘We like and early night, we are not really party people are we?’

Luca then said: ‘We love a party, we do love a party’, with Gemma interrupting him and shouting: ‘No we don’t! You love a party’

He then replied: ‘We like an early night, we like to enjoy ourselves and go out with family and stuff like that but we also like to be in bed before 9 o’clock, is that fair enough to say?’ 

Another clip showed Gemma looking irritated while asking Luca to show his shorts the camera.

Fans rushed to the comment section of the TikTok compellation video, with one writing: ‘She got 0 respect of her man’

Another said: ‘Thought I was the only one seeing this. Everybody is only on Luca but she is very controlling and too authoritative.

A third penned: ‘He’s constantly looking for her approval’ 

One wrote: ‘She’s so bossy and he’s so nice to her and has to agree with everything she says’

In the show Luca was left seething after watching Gemma have a chat with Billy Brown during Casa Amor, prompting him to question the strength of their relationship.

Fans at the time called for Gemma to break off her relationship after Luca raged at her for ‘flirting’ with bombshell Billy.  

Speaking to Grazia magazine he said: ‘She’s a strong woman so she would never let herself be in a situation like that’.

Agreeing that his behaviour was controlling, he went on to say: ‘There are parts where I’m thinking this is not how I behave on the outside world. Why did I do that?’. 

Luca, who finished ins second place with Gemma, went on to tell the publication: ‘When you feel so strongly for someone and then you’re still getting put in situations because they [producers] are making us do challenges, throwing new people in there to play with your emotions and your feelings – I’d genuinely just had enough of it.’

He went on to say that his emotions were heightened during his time on the show as he began to fall in love with brunette beauty Gemma.
