Haller was diagnosed with testicular cancer, but after treatment, has made his way back to Dortmund’s first-team, making his competitive return last month in a 4-3 win over Augsburg.

In the 51st minute, the striker from the Ivory Coast got his goal against ten-man Freiburg. He dispatched home Raphael Guerreiro’s cross to head home for Dortmund, who extended their lead to 3-1.

The club also marked the occasion of World Cancer Day by including a lump on the centre circle before the match, and at half time, to raise awareness of testicular cancer.
